I.A.Q.

Infrequently Asked Questions

How often do you update YA Library UK?

At minimum I update twice a month. I aim to update at least once a week. When I have a links round-up ready, I sometimes update twice weekly.

Why don’t you have more guest contributors?

I would love more guest writers and/or regular contributors, but I’ve never had anyone volunteer to do it (I always request contributions). If you’re interested in contributing, drop me an email at yalibraryuk@gmail.com. If you know of someone who you think would make a great contributor, please let me know.

When are you going to design a more user-friendly layout/better cataloging system for the site? This grey-text-on-white thing hurts my eyes.

I am planning to eventually redesign the site and create a better reference system for posts, but I’ve not yet set a date for it to happen. If you have a specific problem or question (e.g. you find the text unreadable) do let me know and I’ll do my best to fix the issue.

I found a typo. Should I tell you?

Yes! Please do.

I’m writing a pamphlet, paper, thesis, etc. about teens and libraries. Can I send you a few questions or a survey?

Most certainly! Please email me at yalibraryuk@gmail.com.

I’m an author. Will you promote my new young adult book?

I love YA novels and non-fiction for teens, but I don’t promote specific books. I do periodically mention books that have considerable pop culture cache, such as popular YA novels that have been adapted for the screen.

Will you write a guest post for my site?

If it’s a non-commercial site and related to teens or libraries or reading or something else vaguely YA Library UK-ish then yes, I’d be happy to!
